Sweet Child of Mine

A few weeks ago, I got notice from my firm that my position was being eliminated. And since I am always truthful and honest with Brie, I told her. She, of course, is worried but doesn't show it. She knows that when we go to Target its not about toys and clothes. Its about buying generic and spending wisely. So, the other day I set up a playmate with her and Hayden, her friend from Lakeside Academy and I guess she found a penny by the pool and saved it for me. When I came to pick her up she felt as if she was helping us out during this uncertain time. I just love her thought and compassion. I hope she reads this someday and knows how much I love her for that. XXOO

Summer Camp

Brie is having a great summer at the Kids Club Summer Camp. They certainly keep her busy with a new theme each week. So far she's been to Knotts Berry Farm, Medieval Times, Raging Waters, LegoLand and a few others! Her friends Kinley and Kiana have been her buddies along with Kaitlyn. Brie must have a thing for friends whose names start with a K! She is also still doing gymnastics. She was moved up a class level and now things aren't cute and fun..they are a lot harder. Its good to see her get challenged. School starts in 3 weeks (Aug 15) so the clock is ticking! She will be in 1st grade before we know it :)

Brie's Sins

Brie goes to an after school program at the MV Christian Church. Great group, fun activities and super nice counselors. I guess the other day they asked Brie if she had any sins and she said "only one…that I love my stuffs more than Jesus" Gotta love her honesty. Love you Brie Brie!

6th Birthday

Gearing up for Brie's 6th birthday. Its rainbow themed which is cool because her kindergarten class is the Rainbows and there are 6 colors in the rainbow. Mommy is getting Brie a fun trip to Build a Bear to create and stuff her very own stuffy. After her party she is flying to Lake Tahoe with grandma Jan and uncle John. Mommy is staying back and having a little bday party of her own :) Brie is doing fabulous and she's having 24 kids to her party. She's truly a happy and well-rounded little girl. I wish her daddy could be here to see her.

1st tooth

Brie lost her 1st tooth on Thursday Jan 28th 2016! She was eating a quick dinner of corn dogs and apples (mommy gave her apples as a way to get that wiggly thing out!) and sure enough she ran over to me to tell me that eating the apples was too hard. I looked at her mouth and saw a gap so we went back to her table/chair and the tooth was sitting on the chair. Good thing we found it. It would have become a cat toy! She was very excited and put her tooth in a custom pillow. The next day she got a gold $1 coin in a pink chiffon bag with a receipt from the tooth fairy saying her tooth was in "excellent" condition! Congrats to Brie!!
